Vintage KEEN KUTTER, SHAPLEIGH HARDWARE COMPANY 28" Aluminum Level, Used~
This vintage level is in very good condition. The 6 vials are intact with liquid. All the liquid vials appear yellowish with one vial slightly clearer. The caulking around the 6 lenses is in good condition with very slight signs of crinkling in the red paint. There is a 3/16” wide chip of caulking missing from one side of a middle lens. The middle lens opposite this one has a crack in the bottom left hand corner, but the glass is intact. All of the lenses have “SHAPLEIGH HARDWARE COMPANY ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI” in white letters on a red background. The words “KEEN KUTTER” and “HEAT TREATED” straddle the middle lens on one side of the level. We have not cleaned this level in any manner as we leave those decisions up to the eventual buyer.
