Vintage (Orig. OTC) Owatonna Tool Co 3/8" Swivel Head Ratchet was made in the USA and is marked Pat. Pending. It is in excellent condition. We did minimal cleaning so that we could read the stampings. They read "QWATONNA TOOL CO. OTC OWATONNA, MN PAT. PENDING". It features a 1-7/16 round head that swivels 360 degrees. One side of the head is stamped "ON" and the other side is stamped "OFF". There is a 3/8" female broached hole in the middle that ratchets in one direction. To change directions you just flip the head over.The swivel head allows you to reach hard to get to areas. The female square broached hole needs to have a 3/8" square male adapter to drive sockets. The 1941 OTC Owatonna Tool Co tool catalog seen through Alloy-Artifacts.Org shows a newer version of this ratchet "Junior Flex Ratchet No. H-260" with 3/8" plug and "No. H-262" plug only. It lists it as being 8" OAL and ours is 7" OAL and the U- shaped part that hold the round ratchet head appears to be made a little more crudely..
