This Vintage THE L.S. STARRETT CO. 0-1" Outside Micrometer come in an Eyeglass Style Case. It is stamped on the Thimble " THE L.S. .STARRETT CO ATHOL, MASS U.S.A. The C-frame is stamped "STARRETT" on one side and "1 INCH on the other side. Both are inside raised ovals. There is no model number stamping on this micrometer. The micrometer is in good condition for its age. It has some light surface rust on the spindle and the faces, It is a plain Jane Vintage micrometer with no spindle lock, or ratcheting or friction mechanisms on the spindle. The top left corner of the C-frame looks like it was ground for clearance purposes. It comes in metal cloth cover eyeglass style case. The velvet lining on the inside of the case is worn i the thimble area. The case shows bare metal across the back hinge, around the edge of the lid and on the corners of the bottom part of the case. The "THE L.S. STARRETT CO ATHOL, MASS U.S.A" gold printing on the top is in EXCELLENT condition.
