This VINTAGE WESTERN AUTO WESTCRAFT 1/4" ELECTIC DRILL Model 549 is very RARE. It was made and old by Western Auto Supply. It turns at 1200 R.P.M; has a 1/4'' Capacity; a 1.2 Amps motor and a KeyLess Chuck. It Runs Fine with good torque. The armature does spark some when in use, but we believe that this is common in power tools from this era. The cord is intact with some small cracks just below the housing. It was made in the USA in the 1930s to 1940's. It is in clean working condition. We have not cleaned or restored this tool in any manner, as we leave those decisions up to the eventual buyer. There are no previous owner’s names or ID markings on this tool. Unfortunately, the model number has been worn off the metal tag.
